1976 Triumph Stag automatic for sale on behalf of customer.
Owned for last 9 years and maintained to a good standard with many improvements made over that time, including work to both body, mechanicals and trim, which all together leave this car in a pleasant state and ready to get in, drive away and enjoy with a big smile on your face, the fantastic Triumph V8 burble rumbling along behind you!
On road test on 31st July when it was 31 degrees, it ran at a constant good temperature, it has good oil pressure, the diff is quite and is a very nice drive
It has a large history file detailing work back to mid 1980's, more recently it has had:
-Body: Outriggers, floors, door skins and lower inner repairs, sills.
-Mechanics: Brake overhaul, rear shock absorbers, poly bushes, recon carbs (recon engine around 20 years ago), recon steering rack and new steering shaft, rebuilt differential, fuel pump, front wheel bearings, ignition switch & barrel, fuel tank sender, light switch, new battery, new tyres (2019) etc.
It is fitted with waterless coolant.
-Trim: refurbished seats including foams, New T bar cover and foam, recon hood frame with new blue mohair hood.
So as you can see a fair bit of work undertaken in last 9 years, and in that time is has covered just 3200 miles.
It is not perfect as you can see from the pictures, there are some scabs to rear arches and a few paintwork blemishes, but it is generally a very good looking car and is very sound structurally. It has nice trim ,chrome and wheels are good too.
